HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE RON!!!!

Today is my brother's birthday. We went to celebrate with Sunday lunch out at Campo Verde in Arlington. We used to go there growing up as a family every Sunday after lunch. The food is alright, but the queso is the BEST!!! After lunch, we headed to Ryan & Jen's house for presents and dessert!! (Yes, the kids call him Uncle Ron...a story for another time)
Auntie Jen & Uncle Ron Happy Birthday ice cream we all shared- take a bite and pass....Hudson didn't seem to really understand the concept.
Ryan got lots of great things for this birthday....this is the shirt Hudson wanted to give Uncle Ron!!
Auntie Jen made a YUMMY Boston Creme Pie- she is so talented!! It was soooo good, but I think the cake needed a few more candles on top!!
Ella playing at Auntie Jen & Uncle Ron's house.
Hudson decided it was time to read Bobby a book and let him take a nap. He used Lucy bed for a nap mat and read him some Scottish Rite book.....it was hilarious.
Ella fit perfectly in Lucy's bed.....thanks Lucy for letting us play with all of your stuff!!!

Ryan- we hope you had a fun birthday and we look forward to celebrating many more with you!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Fountains & Toothpicks

This weekend we ventured out for some fun. Ella was sporting her new tennies....she is growing up way to quickly....so of course, I had to take her picture. Isn't she so color coordinated!! Hudson wanted in the picture too.....he is such a good big brother!!
After some running around, we met Nana & Papa at Jason's Deli for dinner. I have been missing my dad this week since I have started back to work. I even called him one night just to talk.

Step 1: Toothpick in Papa's mouth....

Step 2: Take it from him....

Step 3: Toothpick in my mouth.....

Step 4: Now it is mine!!!!

After dinner we headed over the big fountain to play around for a minute. The weather wasn't too bad since it had just rained!! As you notice in the picture, Hudson isn't wearing a shirt......those of you who know Hudson knows that he has a weak gag reflex.....so at dinner, he got choked on an apple and threw up all over the place. Good times......so today he was telling me, "Mommy, I threw up, I choked on apple." Even a day later he remembers. Poor kid. But we did have fun playing at the fountain!!

I love this pic because it look like Hudson is about to push Nana in the water!!!

Playing around!!

The girls....

After we got home that night Hudson was playing with his build a bear box......it was too cute!!

Sleep Over

A few weeks ago, the kids spent the night at Nana and Papa's house. Here are a few highlights from their fun time!!
Isn't Hudson getting so big?!?!?! I just LOVE her smile!!
I think we wore them all out!!
Mommy & Ella matching when we went to pick them up!!

Praise Baby

Lately before bed, we have put on the Praise Baby DVD. Hudson and Ella absolutely love it. Ella crawls up to the TV and just watches....she doesn't do that with anything else. And Hudson just curls up in the chair and just watches and tells us about everything he sees on the DVD. It is so precious!! So, now around bedtime, Hudson comes to us and says "DVD, I watch DVD!!" It is a great way for the kids to wind down relax after a busy night.

Church and Trains

Last night we went to visitation at church. Before we went to church, we went to eat dinner at Dickey's BBQ and the pastor of our church walked in with a couple of deacons. As we are sitting at dinner, we were telling Hudson that we were going to see Kate and Amy at church. He was excited about seeing Kate and Amy, but he didn't want to see them at church- he wanted to see them at the choo-choo train. So, he proceeds to say (as our pastor is sitting directly behind us), "Mommy, I not go to church, I go see choo-choo." He kept on saying, "I not go to church." It was hilarious!! I was so embarrassed, but I know our pastor didn't hear Hudson.

The Greatest Show on Earth!!

Our wonderful neighbors, The Browns gave us 4 tickets to the Circus!! So we invited the Eisenhour's and set the plans. After church, we grabbed lunch, borrowed their parent's minivan (only 1 car to pay for parking), and headed to the AA Center in Dallas for THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!! We got there a little early so we could hit the main stage for the pre-show. I think the adults had just as much fun as the kids!!
Hudson & Dylan- I thought the animals were suppose to be locked in, not locked out!! The craziness on the main floor for the pre-show. Ella and I hung out in our seats while Troy, Amanda, Dylan, Paul, & Hudson braved the crowd.
Dylan & Troy, Hudson & Paul watching the pre-show.
Hudson was so interested in the show....his pose was priceless!!
Hudson's favorite part of the circus was the elephants.
Ella & Mommy keeping entertained during intermission!!
More ELEPHANTS....we even brought home a stuffed elephant.
There was a theme with our crew towards the end of the show.....I think we wore out the kids!!

Those last 3 pics are too priceless for words!!

Happy CIRCUS kids!!

Olympics 2008

I have to admit I wasn't extremely excited about the summer games, but after tonight I am so excited!! If you saw the opening ceremonies, then you know what I mean. It was amazing!! The story of the little boy walking with Yoa Ming was amazing. He is a survivor of the huge earthquake a few months back. He was able to crawl of the wreckage and went back in to save 2 of his classmates. When someone asked him why he did it, he responded by saying, it was his job to take care of everyone since he was the line leader for the day. What a story of amazing courage from a 9 year old boy.
I will be keeping up with the medal count......GO USA!!!
PS- thanks dad for sticking it out with me!!

Galveston Trip

We spent the last week in Galveston on vacation with Paul's parents. It was a full of good food, bad food, good service, bad service, a beautiful beach, good shopping, and lots of fun filled memories!!! We took over 100 pictures and I have some of them posted them in several different post below. Enjoy looking through our trip and fun memories!!

Eat at Joe's & the Train

Our first night in Galveston, we went to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. It was pretty much a disaster, but that is what a trip is about....making memories!! After dinner, Hudson and I went outside to see the train going by. This is the closest Hudson has ever been to a train and he was amazed!!

"Bye, Bye Choo-Choo Train!!"
After the train left, we walked down the pier and looked at all the 'birdies'.

Moody Gardens

On Tuesday, we spent the day at Moody Gardens touring the Aquarium and Rainforest. We saw lots of fun animals and were able to see the scuba guys feed the fish!!
Hudson loved the turtles.

Oh my, look at that big shark!!
In the shark cage.
Hudson looks so sad behind bars....he was actually getting really tired at this point, but was a trooper!!
