Funny Story

Our friend Amanda Christian sent us this email and we just had to share it with our blogger friends. It is so funny and true!!

A Toddler's Tea Party:
One day a mother was out and the dad was in charge of a one and a half year old girl and her brother. Someone had given the little girl a 'tea set' that was her favorite toy. The daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news and her brother was playing nearby in the living room when she brought her daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, the mom came home.

The dad made the mom wait in the living room to watch the little girl bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!!'The Mom waited, and sure enough, here she came down the hall with a cup of tea for her daddy. After she watched him drink it up, the mom says….

“Did it ever occur to you that the only place that baby can reach to get water is the toilet?”

Feeling Better

It has been a whirlwind week at the Hosni house. We started last Monday (which I had off for President's Day) with a trip to the doctor for the kids. Hudson just had a recheck and looked great. His lungs were clear and his ear infection almost gone. Ella, on the other hand, had a double ear infection, a horrible cough with lots of congestion, and an eye infection. Since she is so young, they gave her one antibiotic for all her infections for 5 days. The doctor said she doesn't like giving meds to babies under 6 months old. It was so hard to see my little baby girl not feeling good. She was so sad. Every night she was sleeping in her carrier to help with her drainage and coughing. Paul and I finally got a full nights sleep on Thursday night. I was able to stay home with Ella on Wednesday. My mom hurt her back and was told not to lift Ella for a while and not to lift Hudson anymore. We will see if she sticks to it (I don't think she will).
Paul is feeling better, but not great. He flew to Amarillo this week and his ears are still bothering him a little. Hopefully they will clear up this week.
This week was a hard week for me. I haven't been sick yet, but I have started a cough. Let's hope it doesn't get worse. I also lost my wallet. I thought I accidentally threw it away, so I spent Thursday morning before work and that afternoon digging through the trash. I didn't find it. So when Paul got home, we went through all of it again. It was so gross!!! We never found it. I have to replace everything. While I was digging through the trash, Hudson decided to empty our change bucket on the laundry room floor. It was fun picking it all up.
I know it will be a better week with everyone feeling better!!
Here are a few pics from last week.
Hudson wanted in his seat when we put Ella in her seat.

Ella is practicing holding her bottle.Hudson is feeling tons better!!

Very Sick Family

Hey blogger world. Please say a little prayer for our family. Hudson went to the doctor on Tuesday and has a double ear infection, an eye infection, and pneumonia. Paul stayed home with him all week. He went back to the doctor on Friday and his lungs are better, but not great. Plus, his fever came back on Friday morning. Dr. Arca doubled up on his breathing treatments and gave him yet another antibiotic. Ella spent 3 days and 2 nights with Nana and Papa to try and keep her from getting sick. Today, she started coughing pretty bad and has lots of congestion. She will be sleeping in her carrier in her crib with a huminifier (sp?). Paul went to the doctor this morning and he has a bad case of bronchitis. He is now on an antibiotic and has breathing treatments, plus they gave him 2 big shots this morning. So far, I haven't gotten sick. I am about to sanitize our whole house.
Please pray I don't get sick and that our little family starts getting better.
Thank you!!

Our Sweet, Sick Boy

Hudson stayed home sick today with Paul. He didn't sleep much last night and he found comfort in his little sisters swing today. It is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen (although I didn't get to witness it in person, Paul took these pics for me.)

Hoss Family Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. We started out Friday with some Hosni Family time. We went to eat at Double Dave's Pizza and then to Target. What a fun outing. Hudson got a new Thomas the Train pillow. It was so cute, "chuga, chuga, choo, choo" or the Hudson way, "chuga, chuga, rharr, rharr, rharr." It is so funny and we don't know where it came from.
On Saturday I went help out my friend Amanda E. paint her beautiful new house. We painted Dylan's room, the boys bathroom, and part of the kitchen. We had a great time hanging out and getting to know her friend Autumn. We had a blast with the girls and the boys joined us later. I know Hudson will be enjoying sleepovers at the Eisenhour's in the years to come.
Sunday was a relaxing day. We went to church and then had a wonderful lunch. Later we took some great family pictures. This afternoon my parents gave us our Valentine's presents. I just love grandparents...they spoil your kids, but it is fun!!! This afternoon, Hudson, Ella, and I took naps while Paul went to the grocery store. Hudson woke up with 100.4 fever and a really bad cough. Paul will be staying home with him tomorrow. I think he will be okay, but just say a little prayer for him.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the past few weeks:
Here is our family pic. We didn't know we would be taking pics
or we would have dressed a little better :)
Ella is already over 4 months. She is growing up so quickly.
Our little sick boy.
I couldn't resist taking this pic. I just love the new fashion statement: t-shirt & boots.
Ella is sporting the camo look.
A few weeks ago, Hudson & Ella spent the night at my parents. Aren't they just precious?!?! As promised...here is a pic from Kate's birthday party. All the kids were adorable.

Lost and Found

This weekend Ella found her voice. She was squealing and cooing a ton. Then today she lost it. Her voice is fading- she is a little horse. It is partly due to all the talking she has been doing, but also due to the fact that she cried a lot today. Ella had her 4 month shots today. Needless to say, she didn't like them at all. And in true DIVA fashion.....she acted like a drama queen well after all the pain was gone. It was sad, but funny. Other than that, her appointment was great...she is in the 75% for her height and 75% for her weight. Dr. Arca told us she was doing relly well- that she is as big around as she is tall- she is well proportioned. She started rice cereal tonight and as soon as we master spoon feeding, we can start baby foods. We will see how well she does.

After we got home it was such a beautiful day, we went on a walk around the lake. We loaded up Hudson, Ella, and Dixie. It was fun until the last 10 minutes. We were on the home stretch and Dixie has a little bit of an asthma attack (she is fine). While we were waiting on Dixie to calm down, Hudson decided that he wanted to push his tricycle the rest of the way home, but it isn't the easiest thing to push. So, when we tried to help him, he didn't like it. He is so independent. Needless to say, Paul ended up carrying a crying Hudson the rest of the way, pushing the tricycle, and wrangling Dixie. It was a site to see.

Getting ready to go.Ella, ready? Hudson, ready?

Let's go fast, Daddy!!!

I am enjoying watching everything outside!!! Don't I look like a big girl!!

Good Times with Good Friends!!!

We had a really good weekend!! On Friday- we stayed in and got to spend time as a family. We also worked on painting the rest of our kitchen. It is a work in progress. Hudson went to bed early which was nice, but not before we got some of the cutest pics of the kiddos. They are growing up so fast and I still can't believe how sweet they are to each other. Hudson just loves his little sister so much. And she really looks up to him already.

We were invited to our friend Kate's birthday party. It was so fun. Hudson enjoyed playing with the other kids and can't wait to play with Kate and her new toys on Wednesday. As soon as we get pics I will post them.

I was able to meet up with my college friends/roomies this weekend. Whitney said it best, we are 'growing up.' Whitney just had a baby (Carter) about 6 weeks ago, Lauren is pregnant, and we are encouraging Tifani to join the club, but her brother is getting married this summer, so I guess she will join the club later. We had such a good time together talking about our lives now, walking down memory lane, and catching up on other friends. Whit got a good pic of Carter and Ella together. She was so loud just 'talking' and moving around next to him and he slpet right through it. We have to get together more often girls!!

On Sunday we went to a big SuperBowl party at the Lasiter's house. Hudson had such a good time playing with the other kids. And we had a great time visiting with friends. I think a good time was had by all.

Paul's mom left for Eygpt yesterday- so pray for safe travels for her and pray for Sam as she is gone for a whole month. I think Paul is planning a trip down there with Hudson- a good male bonding generation trip. We will see.

By the way, how do you like the updated background? I used the Matie Kay blog to get our new background. I love it!! It is a lot more fun!! Have a wonderful week!!
