Our ChristmasAdventures

We had such a wonderful Christmas!! Hudson enjoyed all of his trucks and toys he got from family, friends and of course from Santa!! We started with a trip to Gilmer ( 12/20-12/23) It was fun to hang out with our family. When we go to Gilmer, we have 3 parties to attend: Mamaw's party (our immediate family- 20 people), the Big Dean Party (Papaw's brothers and sisters and all of their families- usually about 100 people), and the Bowden Party (Mamaw's sister and all of her side of the family- about 35 people). Hudson had a blast playing with his cousins and Ella was held by just about everyone- Paul and I got a break!!
We came home and did laundry, repacked and wrapped presents. We went to the Christmas Eve service at FBC Euless with my parents, Ryan and Jenn and Jenn's whole family. It was wonderful until Hudson saw the juice from the Lord's supper and started insisting that he have some, " Juice, Juice, Mommy." I offered to get him his sippy cup, but I didn't realize Paul had taken it to the back with him and Ella- so that just made things worse. Overall, he did alright. It was really entertaining!! Hudson did find a "book" (the Bible) under the seat to keep him busy for a while.
Christmas morning we woke up and opened Hudson's presents. He wasn't really awake and he was only wanting to play with the bowl and spoon from his stocking. So, Paul and I opened Hudson's presents. Ella slept through it all. It was all too exciting!!
About 11 is when we went to my parents house. After a wonderful traditional Christmas lunch we started opening presents. It was so fun. Hudson was tired, so he wasn't that interested in the gifts. If you have ever seen Plunko played on the Price Is Right, then you would understand what Hudson did over and over again. He had 2 things of Carmex from Paul and Ryan's stocking and my dad's set of screw drivers in their plastic wrap. He would sit on my dad's new tool box and drop the carmex down the front of it like Plunko. It was so funny to watch. We had a good time!!
Thanks Mom and Dad and Auntie Jen and Uncle Ron for everything- the kids are already sleeping with their new (stuffed) dogs.
We headed to Houston about 4pm. We ate a wonderful Christmas dinner then opened more presents. It was fun. Every year Paul's dad plays the hot/cold game with us to find our Christmas card. This year Ella and Hudson got to play the hot/cold game. We had so much fun!! Hudson loved his new Elmo laptop. I don't think he put it down all weekend. On Thursday we took a little trip to Kemah. We ate seafood and Hudson got to ride the "choo-choo" It was a little chilly, but loads of fun!!
Thanks Sam and Nadia for such a great time.....and for some female bonding time Nadia!!
We came home on Friday. We were able to stop and see my grandfather in Newby on our way home. He was sitting up in his wheel chair. I was so proud of him. He fell and broke his pelvis on December 9th and has been on bed rest since then. His goal was to be sitting up for Christmas dinner- and he met his goal. He chased Hudson around in his wheel chair and loved on Ella. This was our first Christmas without my grandma (Memaw). We all miss her so much, but we know she was able to celebrate with Jesus on this birthday. We said she got to go to His birthday party.
I know it is a lot, but we really had a great Christmas and I couldn't leave anything out. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and great friends!! Merry Christmas!!

Happy Birthday Hudson

I AM TWO!!! We celebrated Hudson's 2nd birthday on December 15th. We had such a great time with friends and family all weekend long. My brother's graduation from DBU was on Friday. We has a really nice dinner at Papasito's in honor of his amazing accomplishment!! We are so proud of you Uncle Ron!!
Saturday started with lots of busy last minute preparing for Hudy's party. We had the party at my parents church in their gym. Our friends, the Eisenhours, had done that for Dylan's first birthday party....it was a great idea. The kids ran around the gym playing with the balls and jumping in the bounce house. It was such a fun time!! The girls hanging out: Amy, Amanda E., Marci, & Me
Hudson pushing Kate on his new tricycle!!

Ella's Acting Debut

Ella made her first acting debut as baby Jesus this past weekend at church. She did such a great job. She slept through both services. She looked like an angel....and I am not just saying that as her mother. I was so proud of her.

Hudson and Papaw over Thanksgiving break!!
Like grandpa like grandson!!
They had a lot of fun together playing with their cowboy hats and rolling Elmo and Bobby around on Papaw's chair/walker. Hudson and Kate snuggling after their nap. I just think they are so precious!!
This week I am so excited!! My brother Ryan is graduating from DBU this Friday. I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard on his degree. Jennifer has given up a ton of her time with Ryan and has given him such great support. Ryan has given it 110% I just can't tell you how proud I am of him. We are also celebrating Hudson's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2 years old. It will be a fun weekend with family and friends!! We will definitely post pics of all of our activities!!

Big Boy Bed

My last night in my crib!!
This is my new big boy bed!! I just love it so much!!

I just wanted to give you a quick up date from the Hosni family. Hudson went to a big boy bed this week. He has made the transition so well. He still won't get out of bed without calling out to "Mommy" or "Daddy". It is just about the cutest thing ever. Thursday night he laid down and patted the pillow next to him and said, "Mommy, night, night?" He wanted me to lay down with him and go to bed. He is just so cute!! I had to lay down with him the first night, but after that he has been a pro. So far, so good!!

Already December

Ella is such a show off- isn't she strong!! Steps for making Rice Krispy Treats:

Step 1: Stir in the marshmallows

Step 2: Apply the sprinkles
Step 3: Cut out fun Christmas shapes
Step 4: Eat, Eat, Eat!!!
As you can see, Hudson and his friend Kate enjoyed making Rice Krispy Treats with "Mrs. Mamy" as Hudson calls her. I love this last picture, Hudson is just looking at Kate like he loves her so much!! They are such good friends and are so precious together.

The past few weeks have been so busy!! For Thanksgiving we went to visit my grandpa in Newby. He is doing well. Mom took him back to the doctor this week. He is going to have to undergo a minor surgery to help him go to the bathroom....I won't go into details, but it will probably be before Christmas. So be praying for him and the family. The kids were great while we were there. We had a big spread with my whole family. It was such a good time!! Hudson slept in a big boy bed for the first time and loved it!! Then we drove to Houston for Thanksgiving night. We ate pizza and arabic food, well, Hudson and I ate pizza and everyone else ate arabic food for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a good visit with Paul's parents. They kept Hudson and Ella while Paul and I got to do a little shopping. We also went to Toys R Us and let Hudson play and look at Christmas and birthday presents. He is so cute and loves Elmo so much!!
This week has been busy as well. We had the women's dinner Monday night at church. It was amazing. Scott Cameron sang and John Meador (our pastor) spoke. It was a great time to fellowship with friends. Paul and I are involved in children's choir at church, so we had a late practice Wednesday night. By Thursday I was so tired, my teammate at school said it looked like I needed some rest. Luckily I was able to take off Friday- Paul went hunting and my mom was out of town, so I got to stay home with Ella and Hudson!! We had the best day just hanging out at the house. We relaxed and played and napped. It was so much fun to just be home with my kids. Paul is coming home tonight from hunting with Uncle Matty- Paul got a buck and a doe. He was excited about it!!

I know December will go by so quickly. Tuesday is Ella's 2 month birthday....Dec. 14th is Hudson's 2nd birthday, my brother is graduating from DBU on Dec. 14th (we are so proud of you Ryan!!) and that doesn't even include all the other Christmas activities. I know we will have tons of fun!!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

Our family with Santa (Hudson wasn't too excited) Ella doing what she does best...sleeping.
Are all these presents for me? I promise I have been a good boy all year long!!
The Hosni Family
The Dean Family

While we had everyone in town for the weekend, we decided to go to The Gaylord Texan to take pics for Christmas cards. We had such a good time with our whole family together....which doesn't get to happen very often. Hudson was some what grumpy and didn't want to sit with Santa on his own, so we decided that we would take a family pic with Santa. The Gaylord was decorated so beautifully. It got me into the Christmas mood. Hopefully we will put up our Christmas tree soon...we will let you know how that goes with a 2 year old!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy b-day daddy!!

Paul joined The 30's Club this week!! November 20th to be exact. We had a big party at The Rockin' H Ranch in Kennedale. We have some wonderful friends with a great ranch with plenty of room to play, cook, and have a amazing party. It fit Paul perfectly. He cooked his famous BBQ with the help of Ryan and Matt. We had a great time with family and friends. The kids had a blast at the party barn with the candy bar. Paul's parents came in from Houston to celebrate with us. It was such a fun night to just hang out with everyone. I just loved it and the kids were all so cute together!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL...you are the love of my life and such an amazing father to our children....I hope you had as good a time as I did at your party!!

Sweet Caroline

Ella Grace and Caroline Scout hanging out on the couch.
I think these girls are going to be good friends. This weekend I helped with the Sip-n-See for Caroline Scout Hatton. She was born exactly one month before Ella- September 4th. Caroline was born 2 weeks early and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. She is 10 1/2 weeks old and now weighs 8 lbs. 8 lbs. Ella was born 2 days early and weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. She is now 5 1/2 weeks old and weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz. It is crazy how different babies can be. I know Caroline and Ella will be good friends.
We had Ella's one month check up this week. Dr. Arca told us she was as close to perfect as you can get. Dr. Arca also told us that Ella seems older than she is. She is very alert for a one month old- we just said she is gifted and advanced. Only time will tell!!

Sic 'em Bears!!!

Touchdown Bears!! We know the Bears didn't win this weekend to the Red Raiders, but Hudson was ready to do a touchdown dance. He loves football and says, " I am a quarterback." We will see....he does have a good arm!!We had a great time with everyone at homecoming. We got up and were at Nana and Papa's house bright and early at 6:30am. We drove to Waco for Baylor's Homecoming. Hudson really LOVED the parade!!
It was a great time to catch up with our friends whom we haven't seen for a while. It was wonderful!! It is kind of crazy how many people have had kids this past year. All the strollers were lined up while we were all showing off our kids. It was tons of fun!!
(Brian and Tifani have Tahoe- she is hold Ella)
GO BEARS!!!!
Our first family of four photo with Judge Baylor. It is the beginning of a Hosni family tradition!!

While in Waco we were able to go see my grandfather. He went home from the nursing home in Arlington last week, was home a day, and then was care flighted out to Waco. There is always a new problem with him each time he goes to the hospital. We will see how long he is in Waco- he wants to go home tomorrow, but I am not sure if his doctors will release him. Please pray for him. It was good to see him and visit with him.
Overall, we had a great trip to Waco!!

Trunkfest

Banana and a Monkey

Our Little Ella dressed as a Banana!!
Our Little Monkey with his Banana!! Ella is 4 weeks old today!! Isn't she pretty in pink.
We have had a fun week so far. I can't believe Ella is already four weeks old. She has done a lot in her 4 short weeks. Last night was her first Halloween and as you can see she was a banana to match her big bro- the monkey. They were precious!! They wouldn't pose for many pictures, but we got a few. We went to Trunkfest at our church. Hudson didn't last long, he was really tired. Ella is doing better at night. She is sleeping in the pack n play now. Our next transition will be to her bed. She is only getting up once during the night- which is wonderful!! Once Hudson gets up he gets in bed with us and we watch Little Einsteins. He drinks his milk and helps me give Ella her milk. It is pretty sweet.
We are going to Waco for the day on Saturday- it is Baylor's Homecoming. I am sure we will be posting pictures from Homecoming when we get back.
